What I do

Hi, I'm Jon aka The Grey Earl, an Illustrator and independent publisher of quirky, fun greetings cards, with a distinct sense of humour and visual style that appeal to both the young and old alike. I started making cards back in 2010 and my work can be found in independent shops, galleries and museums across the UK.

My cards are designed and printed right here in the UK and have been created with the environment in mind, using only 100% recycled papers and fully biodegradable packaging.

I hope you enjoy looking over the work that I make, I'm sure you'll find something a little bit different!

The Toilet Roll Sessions

Using everyday materials found in your recycling, this make and play class was created during and as a response to lockdown. With homeschooling in mind, these creative sessions were developed for children and their adults, delivered by community artist and illustrator Jon Bishop, aka The Grey Earl and his daughter Averie.
